How Phytomem One is made

Phytomem One is manufactured in the United States, in an FDA-registered facility that operates under current Good Manufacturing Practice, and every production batch is tested by an independent laboratory before it is released for sale. This page sets out what those two sentences actually mean, and where the limits of the claim are.

The facility

Tablets are pressed and bottled at a contract facility registered with the FDA and audited against cGMP rules. Registration is not an endorsement and it does not mean the agency has reviewed the formula. What it means in practice is that the plant is on the FDA's list, is subject to inspection, and has to keep the paperwork that proves what went into each run: where the raw material came from, who signed it in, what the line was cleaned with, what the finished tablet weighed.

That documentation trail is the unglamorous part of supplement manufacturing and it is the part that separates a serious operation from a garage. It is also the reason a batch takes weeks rather than days to reach the warehouse.

The four checks

Every batch of Phytomem One is sampled and sent to an independent laboratory before release. Four things are checked.

• Identity. Confirmation that the botanical in the drum is the species on the paperwork. Substitution is the oldest problem in this trade, and saffron in particular has a long history of being cut with safflower or dyed fibre.
• Potency. Confirmation that the standardised extracts hit their marker compound percentages, so that the tablet pressed in October matches the one pressed in March.
• Heavy metals. Screening for lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury. This matters more for marine and root ingredients than most people realise, because kelp concentrates whatever the water it grew in was carrying.
• Microbials. Screening for total plate count, yeast, mould, E. coli and Salmonella.

A batch that fails any of the four does not get relabelled or blended into the next run. It is rejected.

What we will not tell you

We will not publish a certificate of analysis with a batch number on this page, we will not name the laboratory, and we will not print a purity percentage next to a lot code. Those figures belong in a document that a purchaser or a regulator asks for by name, not in marketing copy where they exist to look like proof. We also will not tell you that Phytomem One is certified organic. The raw materials are handled to organic-program standards at source, which is a supply chain statement, not a certification of the finished tablet, and the two get conflated constantly in this industry.

Sourcing

The saffron is bought as a standardised stigma extract rather than as whole threads, because standardisation is the only way to keep a marker compound stable across harvests. The kelp fractions come from Japanese sourced brown seaweed. Ceylon cinnamon is specified as Cinnamomum verum on the purchase order, not as generic cinnamon, which is a distinction most formulas ignore because cassia costs a fraction of the price. Morosil is a branded Sicilian red orange extract bought under its own specification.

Formulation, blending and bottling happen in the United States. Some raw material does not: saffron does not grow in Michigan and kelp does not grow in Ohio. Any brand claiming that every gram of a botanical formula is domestically grown is either selling a very short ingredient list or is not being straight with you.

What is not in the tablet

No caffeine, no synthetic stimulant, no artificial colour, no gluten-containing grain, no soy protein, no gelatin. The tablet base is microcrystalline cellulose with vegetable stearate and silicon dioxide as processing aids, which is standard for a pressed tablet and is listed openly on the panel.

The standard we are held to

None of the above is worth much without a consequence attached, which is what the 60-day guarantee is for.
